If the 5% threshold is abolished and we run a tight (pirate) ship then I have no doubt we can be elected!

It would be a tougher ask however while it remains at 5% or 4% however :-s

Thus I encourage you to submit to the MMP review process NOW!

I don't think it's likely that the Electoral Commission will recommend lowering the threshold as it is below 4%, since they've strongly expressed a concern that this would effect the stability of government. I've made an alternative suggestion (linked) that I think would still be beneficial though (for democracy and us).

Liquid Feedback v2.0 will come out end of this month.

We can then try out computer-aided-semi-direct-democracy for the scope of our party at least.

LF is supposed to scale for nations if need be, though :-)

I love using Liquid Feedback - you have much more time to think and discuss issues before voting and if, at the end you don't understand the issue fully you can allocate your vote to someone who does. It beats live conferences for getting things done. They should be kept for socializing ;)

Correction: It beats <insert things here> for getting things decided.

After you have a conclusion from Liquid Feedback, someone still has to go out and do everything :)

Another tool PP could try out is Loom.io, a free code 'consensus decision making' tool which is being developed right here in Aotearoa:
http://loom.io/

Loom.io works as a server-side application. How does LF work? I've struggled to find much english-language documentation on it.

You can find out about LF here
http://www.public-software-group.org/

Loom.io looks interesting but the video does not say too much about how it works. I would suggest that ppnz could benefit a lot from helping them to develop the tool.

PPNZ help develop loomio? are you serious? PPNZ still hasn't managed to even properly implement *anything*, even if it is already fully developed and supported. even wordpress.

It's not a bad dream, but still, you're dreaming.

Sounds like a challenge to me - maybe all it needs is a decision to spur implementation.

@Pervach Well gee, the Young Greens have stepped up to Beta test Loom.io. Are you saying the neo-luddites are more capable of beta-testing a decision-making application and giving useful feedback than the PP?
