Targeting someone for being computer literate because it is suspected that an offence was committed by someone computer literate makes about as much sense as targeting someone for being black because it is suspected that an offence was committed by someone black, IMHO.

If you're doing nefarious stuff it's very easy and highly advisable to make yourself look like just another windows user. The most recent Tails live CD even includes a Windows XP camouflage mode for exactly this reason!
It only takes a few minutes to rearrange Gnome to look more like Windows and change the white on black terminal colours to black text on white background so it looks more like notepad.
