In support or otherwise of my candidacy for another term as President:

Truth be told, i would prefer to not be president much longer. I thought about declining the nomination, but i didn't want to present Will as a fait accompli. Having said that, if the membership votes to reject Will, I don't intend to leave PPNZ without a president.

I also want to note that, if Will becomes president, I will still be involved with PPNZ, just in a different role without nominal authority. I will still work with the new board where they need/accept it. In this light, I don't ask you to rank me first, but I ask you to give me a ranking.

I have been President since March, and on the board since October. I see the role as mainly being about stopping PPNZ falling apart and dying, and keep an eye on what we said we would do. This is more involved than I had hoped, since everyone involved in the party is busy and has other things to do, schedules slip and things get forgotten.

The good news is, we are in growth mode. Slowly, more people are joining and more importantly, a few more people are involved. This should mean the focus of the role shifts to deciding things and planning for the election campaign, and away from nagging people.

Feel free to ask questions for any candidate below.

[Update: It appears i'm now the only candidate. Assuming I get rubber stamped, I will continue as President. However, note that if an acceptable candidate offers to take the role mid-term, arrangements can be made.]
