Hi guys. I'm Pervach aka TWF aka NotWhatButWho. I am generally in to politics and libertarian. I have been following the pirate partys in Sweeden and Germany since the run up to the EU elections. Currently the biggest influence on my IP views comes from the Ludwig von Mises Institute blog at http://blog.mises.org/blog/ basically opposing all IP with libertarian economic principles, some of which sound very much like the pirate party's arguments.

Hi, I'm Andrew McPherson, aka kiwipeso.
I'm a programmer and mathematician, I specialise in AI, games and communications security.
I have some contacts here in wellington who I am prepared to get to see and act on the pirate party point of view.

I am prepared to offer my service to the party in either communications or leadership.

I have an encryption project underway which is unbreakable which will be released for free when internet termination becomes a threat to us all.

Hi, I'm Jason.

I prefer to use Free / Open Source software. Basically, all my influences on IP comes from whatever I read on slashdot and what may affect me. I support the Creative Commons type licenses because they seem like a straight forward and simple to use (and describe) license.

I have interests in various computer languages such as C, C++, Bash, PHP, JS, HTML and CSS. I have written a few shell scripts and various attempts at some sort of website software...
I have a website, http://5o1.co.cc which is currently empty, but the http://dump.5o1.co.cc has more stuff in it (because I keep sending stuff to the dump  ).

Earlier tonight I just redesigned the ppnz homepage to something that make appear more professional and simpler to view.
http://pirateparty.net.nz/ppnz-new.html

I am aiming to become a regular in the IRC channel by having my Pidgin client be auto-join and persistently connected to the channel.

I have been friends with Pervach since kindy ;)

Hi All

I'm John, and I'm a student and programmer in Dunedin. To be honest I'm generally rather politically apathetic, but looking at the ACTA and suchlike things has convinced me that if we're not prepared to stand up politically, then society is only going to get worse, and we'll have no-one to blame but ourselves.

Hi guys, my name is Rostislav.

I`m always support any humanistic ideas.
The PP ideology is one of them.

I had taken the attention to foundation PP in Swedwn in 2006. And since then I`m trying to spread and populize the ideology of Pirate Movement.

Now in Ukraine and Russia simple and thinking about future people begin to foundate political parties -

http://pirateparty.org.ua
http://pirateparty.ru

We are hoping that we will can to create real political party despite this is very difficult due to our laws.

As I understood in New Zealand it`s much easier!
So I wish you the fastest way to foundate political party. :)

Hi,

I'm Peter Ajamian and I live in Tauranga. I'm a web programmer and I specialize in e-commerce specifically with the Interchange platform. I have been looking forward to seeing a pirate party in New Zealand since I first heard about the one in Sweden a few years ago (note that since I'm a US citizen I can also participate to some degree in the US pirate party). I'm now in IRC under the nick pj and have set up xchat to automatically log me into #ppnz.

I look forward to seeing more of everyone here and getting to know you all.

Hi,

I'm a student doing a BSc at Otago. After using sites like the pirate bay for torrents etc I eventually had a look at the legal page, which lead me to their forum, which lead me to finding out about the party in Sweden, which lead me to see if NZ had one and I'm glad we do. Gonna send off application some time over the next 2 weeks. I firmly believe in the right to privacy and reviewing copyright laws.

Cheers,

dtrg

Hey all,

I'm Lukas Korsika, and I'm currently doing Computer Science at Canterbury University.
I think it's very important that we take back our culture, and don't let profit-seeking corporations take it away from us.
I wish PPNZ all the best, and I'll do what I can to help.
